Gave her a nice thorough wash and then installed a spoiler today. I'm never done much to my cars in the past. Before this, installing the shark fin was the biggest thing.

Then I plastidipped the wheels, since they were already cleaned:

Got a bit of overspray on the ground which I'll have to clean

Thanks! I kept the wheels on the car using the trash bag method which dipyourcar.com shows on YouTube. Makes life easier for people who don't have the right equipment such as jack stands

Did the same thing to my wheels (I took them off to do it, but whatever). I think it looks 10x better than the stock wheels, and I even get compliments on them haha. You will have to redo them once in a while, but I think it's definitely worth it and they look brand new every time.

I'm buying some Five Axis wheels with some curb rash on them, I'll plastidip them and they will look a lot better.

How often do you have to redo them? Do you just coat on top or peel and start from scratch?

I did 6 coats so I'm hoping it will be relatively durable.

I did it a few weeks ago and they still look great, I had one wheel that started peeling in one spot, it could have been because I didn't put enough coats on the spoke.

I do think you will have to redo them probably every 6 months? But it really varies based on the environment you drive in. I think 6 coats is great and you should be fine.

If you are redoing them, it's likey because they are starting too peel and you don't want to paint over that so I'd say peel and start from scratch.
