That's funny. We just got some clutches in from the latest batch.

Maybe the distributor he called gets it from 3rd party reseller and they don't have any to drop ship.

Buy direct.

Everyone knows that Jackson Racing has a solid product. I Just wanted to quickly chime in regarding my experience with Jackson Racing's customer service.

I've messaged, called, and visited their facilities, just like I did with my previous kit. In every interaction, they extended outstanding service. I honestly feel like they went above and beyond what a normal company would do for a customer. To me, its clear that they are in the business of customer relationships, not customer transactions.

What good customer service is NOT:

Quote:
"I'm so glad they picked up the phone and took my money! The part I paid for was shipped out the very same/next day like it should have been! I should never have had to order this part again to begin with, but poor design aside, they were awesome!!!"
That, if anything, is only standard customer service. Its nothing to write home about folks.

JR customer service is well above that. That being said, thank you @Jackson Racing!

I would like to see some video and Im sure others would too... Preferably two frz/brz, one with the stock pulley and one with the smaller pulley racing each other. Both on e85 to keep the fuel argument out.

It would let people see if the added speed is really worth the price. Its cool to see dyno sheets but without video of actual competition to see how fast it really is is kinda 1990's...

1/4 mile video would be awesome too. I guess my last post was only read half way

Not sure if trolling...?

Are you really asking for two people to meet up, record a streetrace and post it on the internetz?

EDIT: I see you are from FL and don't understand whats happening in SoCal. But still, streetracing is kinda 2001...

Also, 1/4 mile times don't mean anything. There are too many variables. Dyno will SHOW you exactly what the gains are.

Whats trolling about asking the question?

I know you've watched some video on youtube of a turbo frs vs a GTR, on the street and didn't complain so don't bring that here.
I didn't mention anything about street racing but I did say 1/4 mile aka track, so slow your roll. I just want to see what the real comparison is since videos are pretty rare showing what an FI FA20 can do.

There are videos of some FI cars cruising around but how does that sell a kit to me when a stock car can do the same thing?

JDMchris I think you have it backwards. A 1/4 will show exactly what a car can do, way more than a dyno (which is used as a tuning tool) that can be adjusted to make it read whatever you want it to read. I just want to see a video of stuff actually happening vs looking at a piece of paper that someone took a picture of.

When a new car comes out, the question most people ask first is "what does it do in the 1/4 mile?", not "what does it make on the dyno?"

This is a way to look at it.

The smaller pulley is $150, which requires fuel system upgrades. Injectors $610 for the plug n play ID1000's (can't go wrong with the best injectors). 267 Walbro E85 Fuel Pump $165, with a new tune costing about $550.

That comes out to $1475 without labor for the novice people. Yes, you can choose the cheaper deatschwerks stuff to save a couple hundred but you never hear the heavy hitter cars running that stuff.

I've installed the Jackson supercharger on my friends BRZ and he wants the smaller pulley, but for the price $1400 I feel a comparison video should be made before people go shelling out that kind of cash on a $150 pulley that will turn into a $1k plus upgrade.

So I ask again... Is it wrong to ask for a video of this pulley in real action?

Those are two videos. So yeah... If the 1/4 mile track is the second video, then I'm sure you didn't mean street racing for the first.

ID makes good injectors, no doubt about that. I wouldn't say that DW are bad injectors, though. The quality difference between them is IMO subjective. Whatever your preference, flow is not an indicator of quality - it's just a flow amount, and 1000cc is overkill. With Grams 550cc's and a C38 pushing 15psi, I was only at 70%.

Do you know the setups people will be upgrading from? The price changes depending on that. It could be as high as you're saying for some people, sure. It could be as low as $250 too, though. How? If you already had a custom tune to begin with. $150 for the pulley, $100 for an adjustment. You quoted the high, but its only fair to quote the low. That being said, I think the cost is in keeping with upgrading other kits. Cheaper even, in some instances.

The shortage is on the recently updated flywheel.

That's funny. ID and DW both run Bosch cores.

A 1/4 mile video would demonstrate the grip difference (and driver skill) far more than the power difference.

I am sure someone adding the pully who plans to have their car custom tuned on a dyno will eventually post before and after dyno runs, same day, same machine ,same operator and settings, same temp etc .
