DD's down for maintenance, except it's been too cold to do any maintenance on it. So I've been driving the FR-S back and forth to work all week. Which means it's been racking up the highway miles. Not enthused at all.

Since you have been DDing it, how has it been with no noise reduction and basically no soft surfaces?

Mind you, I find comfort to be no the highest of importance as my other vehicle is a Wrangler that used to have factory tires so loud they would put and glasspacked 350 to shame in a tunnel.

I love it. If I wasn't so worried about keeping the mileage low, I wouldn't be all sweaty right now from all the work I just did on the DD.

Except for the mileage thing, the biggest anti-DD problem is the exhaust. I have to drive super slow all the time in the city. I've been pulled over twice in the last two weeks because I got on the gas nowhere near anyone on bridges over water.

When i was stationed there i loved bridges between ocean springs/biloxi/diberville. Hardly an cops could just blow thru and the on/off ramps were fun too

I'm getting dangerously close to hitting 10k and you know what, even though most of those are DD miles, I don't care when compared to how much I have loved every single mile and smile that my BRZ has brought me. It is the same with my Jeep (Jeepers don't count miles per gallon, we calculate fun per gallon).

If you haven't been here since Katrina, the new bridge is awesome.

I've put a lot of work into making sure I can bring it back to stock if I ever need to sell it. So I'm trying to keep the miles off for the same reason. The only way I'd sell it is if shit really hit the fan, but still...

Those lithium batteries need to warm up a bit to have full power. I'm surprised it cranked at 25F without warming it up.
