I'm still on the fence and I really love the idea of the FR-S and BRZ but tomorrow I'm test driving a 2005 Acura RSX type S. Its going to be less than half the cost of a new FR-S and BRZ.
I want to see how the reliability goes for the FR-S/BRZ and maybe get a later-model year, maybe used. With that time schedule, I'd be getting the car in 5 years maybe. Why not have fun with a cheaper car in the interim?

![]() I have no timeline for purchasing the car. My cars are paid off and run perfectly, so I'm just waiting for the opportunity to drive the FR-S/BRZ, and evaluate whether it's the right car for me. |

Test drove a nice 2005 Acura RSX and I was incredibly let down. The car didn't communicate as much as something like a Miata and even when V-TEC kicked in, it didn't seem like I was going all that fast. Maybe I'll still hold off until the FR-S/BRZ

EDIT: SUB-FT86 is in Atlanta, Sandy Springs Ford, (Just outside of ATL proper) sells stripper GT's for 25,500, and GT premiums for 29,900, good deals to be had there.

IIRC is it currently $2k or $3k the Ford rebate on the 2012 Mustang?
That's a nice bonus on top of its already low (for what you get) price :-)
