im in eastbay so hayward works for me.

i actually have @PMok s chair too.

for anyone that isn't part of the caravan down, my friend will be there with his 71 white datsun 240. you cant miss it with the widebody and painted number 77 on the doors. he may or may not have his tents setup but we can park next to him.

What time are you guys planning to start driving down? I believe it will take me 2 hrs to get down there with a short stop for gas/breakfast before reaching the track. I'd prefer to get there early to secure parking and prepare the car and I believe gates open at 7 and first meeting is at 8am. So i'm probably looking at leaving the house at 5am or shortly after.

I'm coming from Sac so the GF and I are probably going to spend Sat in Monterey and be much closer to to MRLS Sun morning.

I hate to be Negative Nancy here... but another noteworthy member of our community, and track regular, just had his engine go pop allegedly do to the DI seal issue.

The scary part is, he had a tune that was supposed to correct the issue with the factory tune.
I dunno about you guys ... but I'm a lil spooked now.

Wow, really? Was he running before the fix also? It may have been damaged before hand and well there was nothing he could have done about it.

I'm not sure the sequence of events but I would guess there was track time before the tune.

Regardless, I'm seriously unhappy about the potential of having to beg for warranty coverage on a tracked car in the event that something goes wrong.
