I hear you on that, but I'm imagining folks trying to use a tape measurer and eye-ball if they're exactly in the middle of their wheel/hub, so I figured it would be easier if they could put the tape measurer on the ground and read the measurement at the edge of the fender.

As long as the tires are close to stock diameter and properly inflated, it should get me what I'm looking for.

I also know that the advertised drop is 20mm, but if you wouldn't mind humoring me and giving me a few measurements for the front and back fenders, I'd appreciate it. It would be preferable if you were using tires with stock diameter (215/45/17 or 245/40/17). Thanks!
I'm at 25-3/4" (+-1/16") front and rear running 245/40R17 ZII tires @ 32psi.

Bumping this thread because I finally had the time to get these on

Still on winter tires, I like the ride on the street. The rear is less "riding a bull in a rodeo", and way more mature with the firmer spring rate.

Drop is subtle, which I also like...

Can't wait for summer tires to go on!

Installed these over the weekend. The car feels much more planted than before, especially the rear end, while not being harsh over bumps. Turn in seems to have improved also despite being on winter tires.
After 48 hours, here are some rough measurements (+- 1/8"), I didn't check tire pressure before handand my driveway isn't 100% flat. Sorry I didn't take before measurements
FL 26"
FR 25 7/8"
RL 25 3/4"
RR 25 3/4"

Before:

A few hours after the install:

@D_Thissen lol your write up is exactly what I feel when driving it.

After 48 hours, my fronts got just a tad lower, now the car looks definitely lower. Even with steelies I like it!!!

Yeah I am pretty impressed by how it handles now with just springs. I also noticed that it is more stable under heavy braking. I cant wait for the summer tires to go on though lol

Going in for an alignment tomorrow (I've had the springs on for about 5 days and 250km). What specs would you suggest for a car that's used for light auto-x/spirited driving/DD? Also how much toe-in should the rear have? Or will I be fine to just stick with the specs you guys posted here? Sorry for the newbness lol

The specs posted in that pdf are good. Did you get the front and rear camber adjustment? (bolts for the front, rear LCAs or the rear whiteline camber bushing)

Hey Andy,

No, unfortunately not. Just front camber bolts.

Since this seems to be the catch all RCE Yellow thread, I'll ask here. I know the yellows work with both stock and Bilstein's, but I was wondering what @Racecomp Engineering believes has the better damping curve for the yellows' 4.5k spring rate, stock or Bilsteins (specifically in the front)?

All I can gather after hours of reading is both are great, but I assume one has to have an advantage over the other; and, if so, why? I'm not concerned about redampening the Bilsteins, but out of the box, are they better suited for the RCE Yellows? I would venture to think they're a bit over dampened for 4.5k.

Doesn't RCE claim the yellows are designed around OEM shocks and the tarmac springs are designed with aftermarket in mind?

I use the yellows on stock dampers. Feels like an OEM stiff and sporty suspension and is very predictable.

Well yes, that's the general consensus, but I have yet to hear(read) it from the horses mouth. And, everything has been wishy washy, not specific claims around dampining curves and the such. I understand that they work very very well, but I was wondering if 4.5K is what RCE considers optimal on the stock dampers.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but I recently bought a set of RCE Yellows myself. If anybody knows a good shop around the Middle Tennessee area for installation, I'd really appreciate a recommendation.
