Agreed, Toyota gains nothing but a possibility at "something". Who knows what. Could be failure, could be success.
If Toyota actually wore the pants, told the ***s in Scion to get their own car and sold the FT-86 as a Toyota they wouldn't be wondering if it'll save the failing brand or not. They'll be showering in the money they made and thinking about the next revision and how to make it better for us. |

I don't like Scion either but it is Toyota's responsibility to give one final jolt of electricity in hopes to revive them. If the 86 doesn't do it, nothing will. It's a big gamble though. To be on a positive note-it'll be nice to see a Scion that's not another stupid "release edition" with nothing more than special paint and wheels. |

Toyota sounds so legendary. Toyota is a special name. What will a new-born brand do for me? hm... I don't have to say too much. I'm a badge whore. It's acceptable to go from Lexus to Toyota, but there is no fu***** way for me to go from Lexus to Scion. I wouldn't have waited for the car either if it didn't have heart of boxer. Toyota should play it safe because Subaru will eat all the sale when Toyota version labeled Scion badge. |

Going from Lexus to Subaru shouldn't be too bad. I would very much like to go from Scion to Subaru (not many things I can move to that would be a downgrade). But I guess we can all agree we would very much like a Toyota badged version.

Scion is just a wanna be car company, I mean really. They don't have anything that is their "own". It's all remodeled Toyota's. Poorly done at that. Flame suit equipped, I know Dragonatti is out there somewhere ready to stuff it down my throat. |
