You wouldn't want to if using an off-board dsp. The problem is with a car, you can't even come close to a good home system without dsp due to the environment and off center seating.

Fwiw, I've heard a car running 3-way front and rear left and right, 2-way center, and 2 subs in the rear deck, processed by two daisy chained h701's with source coming from the dvd-a capable alpine F1. It is hands down the best system I've heard.

That said, it's also Gary Summers' car. A guy with four Oscars for mastering sound. Looking at everyone's locations you guys are all too far away, but if your ever in ca and are interested in listening, shoot me a pm and I'll find out if he'll be demoing it anywhere. He usually does all the DIYMA ca gtg's.

On a side note, how do you like the iQ line? I've been toying with the idea of some R900's for the living room (2 channel) but still need something for the bedroom.

I love the iQ's! I have a set of iQ9's up front, an iQ6 center channel, a set of iQ8DS's for the sides, and a pair of iQ1's for the rear. Without a doubt some of the finest sounding speakers I've ever heard for under $10,000. I'd put them on par with Totem but maybe a little warmer. Here's a link to my old condo home theater on AVS Forum. I've not completely set things up since I've moved as I'm doing some rehabbing on the new house.

In my old condo (moved a year ago) I had a 5 channel setup of in ceiling speakers from KEF. Here's a link to my bedroom build thread on AVS Forum. Right now at my new house I just finished installing some Proficient C1030 LCR's (Front Left, Center, Front Right) and
Proficient C870 LCR's (Rear Left, Rear Right) in the ceiling.

Yes you do. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d..._control&hl=de) you can sse on the picture that you can controll sub level, overall volume and Balance+Fade with the App.

But with a correct setup (time correction, crossover and EQ) no need for that.

I've been looking at the Helix P Six DSP and the Audison Prima 8.9. I like the Helix because of the power it's got, but the Audison has more discrete channels. I don't know that 35w is enough for a midbase however.

For the stock speaker it is okay (possible too much) but for a serious system ... most speaker will be happy with more.

Depend on the Speaker you are using and what you are expecting of the system
