OEM 16's are nice

But guys if you can't get them..........you should get that old style watanabe going cuz.........

I know Some Rota & Eneki Compe is basically the copies of this style. :p

Unfortunately the only 16 inch Compe available in 5x100 is 8" wide and ET25, which is getting rather pokey without lowering and lots of negative camber. They were also a bit on the heavy side. For me, a large part of the appeal of going to 16s is the light weight potential. Motegi Traklites are 12.5lbs in 16x7 ET40 and are under $300/ea; RPF1s are in the same ballpark for price and weight. The Compe definitely has the old school look going for it, and I'm seeing heavily discounted prices from when they were first released. I don't think the Rota RB comes in 5x100 in a 16"...?

Sorry guys the pics I posted aren't of my 86. They are from a guy who had it up for sale.

I did ask what the ride quality was like compared with stock, but he'd had the springs in since new, so couldn't really compare it.
