I wish they would kill Scion and give us the GT86.

This.

It shows not many peeps test drove or researched the car first. They just hoped in, floored first and 2nd and thought it was a GTR, so they bought it.

I hope the FR-S makes it at least 3(+?) generations like the Corolla or Celica.

Here, a visual aid:

The front axles would have to share the same space as the #3 and #4 cylinders. The only way to make an AWD system fit would require raising the engine and transmission. That would mean raising the hood and transmission tunnel.

So let's say they do that... Now the seating position has to be higher in order to see over the hood and have the shifter/center console in a comfortable position. Now we need a taller roof line. Gotta raise the trunk line now to keep the car from looking silly. And with making the whole car taller, we need to make it longer or again, it won't be visually appealing and sales will be lost.
What about deleting the rear seats (lol rear seats) for space? Also, I'm no architect or engineer but if they could make the Evo less than 180inches in length with a 4 wheel drive system, there is hope for our 167 inch car. In terms of engine staying the same, and other stuff... i dont know. I do know if the engineers would wanna change the car, they could. I just dont see why... Sure, there's times I'd want it to be 300hp but then I dont remember ever not complaining about something in one of my other cars... Complained my old skool Celica was not as good in mpg as I hoped (17-23 vs 30-40), my Corolla couldnt beat a Dodge Viper, and my thunderbird was not manual... There's always something someone don't like. I say the FR-S is fine for the price it has. Love how aerodynamic it is at 90mph....dont ask how I know... XD Fat and the furious.

This car handles great at 200km/h (about 125mph) with the TRD bodykit, TRD adjustable spring kit and the TRD SF2 wheels wrapped in Michelin pilot sport 3, 225/40/R18

Autobahn ftw..

Lol i was driving from Santa Monica and hit high speed falling asleep. No jerking, not rattling just smooth. Then i realized i was going too fast and just pulled over at a hotel.

I think a FRS/BRZ is the last thing on there mind.
That's more of a Toronto and Vancouver problem (from a Canadian context). Other cities are relatively fine.

We will see a 4WD version with a 6" lift before we see a Factory Turbo'd AWD version...

And yes...I am challenging TCoat to find a lifted Twin Pic

Exactly correct! Now that they were expecting faster they are bitching about it.I researched and drove the auto and manual around a small track the dealer has and knew it was just right for me. No ones perfect but in this age of information ability a few google searches would of made a difference. Buyers remorse??

Have to move the firewall back a foot too. So the entire car gets longer or the front wheels are in the front bumper. As below, the rear seats could be removed, but thats part of what sets this car apart from the Miata.

Both cars have transverse mounted engines. Ignoring a whole slew of reasons why an AWD system would change the feel of the car, going with a tall transverse mount engine and asymmetrical front driveshafts would totally change the nature of this car. Not to mention the tall hood line again (remember the hood has to have a sizeable gap between it and the engine for pedestrian impact standards, which the DSM did not need to meet.)

Again we're redesigning an existing car.

Oh don't get my comment wrong. I simply said they could not should or would. Would change the whole car and lose everything it was designed for but they could.
