Also depends upon locale. I've mentioned it before but York has a pretty active muscle car scene (also a lot of Harleys with the plant here). With the exception of red v6 convertibles, most of the Mustangs around here are GTs with aftermarket exhaust and a guy behind the wheel.

Oh we do have those as well but it seems to be one extreme to the other with very few in the middle ground.

I don't understand the Ecoboost either. Might as well drop the V6 and sell the Ecoboost and the V8. But Ford can sell a million variants of the Mustang and people would still buy it because it is an American icon.

I normally enjoy these guys reviews and I usually always side with Todd. Paul must have really enjoyed the ecoboost, I have a feeling Ford will be dropping the v6 soon

Not sure I agree with loading up the ecoboost to 38k and then comparing the interior to a car that is atleast $8000 less.

I'd say the most well rounded too. It has the straight line speed of the mustang, more space than the other 3, AWD is nice for those in certain areas, and it's the right price. Same as the FRS, and if fully optioned, still 8k less than the loaded Mustang.

I'd still say it's the best bang for buck car on the market right now in the sub 30k area for a performance minded individual.

I agree 100%, definitely the most well rounded car out of the 4

Doesn't mean it's not a good car. Looks are questionable, although they're growing on me. Personally I like the EVO x rip off look better than whatever the other wrxs were (with the exception of the 1st gen)

That's a good comparo video. Nice.

I absolutely enjoy my work commute every day in my BRZ. I only drive 14 miles everyday, but it's still freaking fun to drive.

I don't have anything to change on my track days too. I just fill it up and go to the track. Don't have to change or replace anything, I just go and drive. When it's done, I drive home. No drama.

I thought it was a really well done video. Look, I also side with Todd on what I typically want from a car, but Paul has always been a little more into aesthetics. I really don't mind that he has a different approach and mindset, and let's face it, his opinion on what a buyer wants in a car (nicer interior, more amenities, looks, more soft suspension, etc) is probably closer to the masses than Todd.

That said, if you watch Paul's original review of the BRZ/FR-S he loved them. He even vocally, a number of times, questioned why you would even need more power. Now? He seems to have gone the complete opposite and almost seems irritated to drive the twins. Seems odd to change your opinion on a car that much within 24 months.

Anyway. I have owned the BRZ and now own the WRX. I have driven an Ecoboost Mustang and the Fiesta ST. Here is my honest opinion on how I would rate them:
For me:
Exterior looks : BRZ
Handling: BRZ
Overall performance: WRX
Practicality: WRX
Most fun to drive: BRZ
Interior looks/fit finish: Mustang
Best overall value: WRX

I felt like Todd. The Ecoboost Mustang felt really big and the steering was way more numb to me than my WRX even. It just felt off. The interior is very nice and Ford has come such a long way. The car feels heavier and bigger than the WRX, and to me that is a bad thing as the backseat and trunk are about as useful as the BRZ. Meaning very limited. Granted I did not spend more than 30 minutes in the car, but I was able to take some backroads and did a couple freeway entrance pulls. The car was a nice freeway cruiser, but it was weak for me on the backroads.

I really struggle with the Fiesta ST. It is a really, really, fun car to drive. I mean Ford did a great job with this car. I found it to be more fun than the Focus ST, but I just struggle with the Fiesta stigma. And even though the WRX is nothing special to look at, it is still a WRX and the Fiesta ST still looks and feels inside like a Fiesta. I don't know, I think the BRZ is more fun and looks 100% better. So if I am going to make a small car compromise and want something really fun the FR-S/BRZ is just a much better choice to me.

Really well done review. If you don't own the Porsche 911 and Mid Engines and Mountains feature films from these guys on Blu-Ray go buy them. They are really well done.
