What Marc says...since your parents are helping you fund your FI...may want to keep it CARB legal. I think Vortech and Jackson Racing are the only two CARB legal FI systems currently out for our cars.

Mom and dad willing to help with getting you FI, and they clearly bought you the car so, is there anything your parents don't want to buy for you?

You are in SoCal so you have a lot of good support with the likes of CSG and Delicious. If you HAVE to go FI then I would get the jackson racing s/c and call it a day. Instant response, low boost and easy on the motor = JRSC. Combine that JRSC with the Delicious flex fuel bluetooth kit, some injectors and you will be screamin

That being said, there is the other, more interesting side of it. Building an E85 NA monster. Get some 150-200 lbs of weight reduction + delicious flex fuel kit + full catless exhaust and you will have a potent daily.

Mhm, I've used an ICE table before. Initial, change, equilibrium, now sign me up for some forced induction.

I'd be pissed my parents didn't buy me something nicer. When you wreck it racing your pals, will they buy you a new one?

FI sure won't do the engine it any good.....

If you want to increase the probability of your engine lasting, trouble free, for 50,000 miles, you best not force air down its throat ......

16... You say thank you to your parents and spend money giving them gifts. Get Forced Induction when your learn the true value of the investment your parents bought you.

I dont need like 4, 500 hp but around 250-300 would be nice which I think is all this car needs. Its my daily car but it would be nice to beat my friends wrx
If you going to regularly track a stock car you going to need to upgrade brake pads and brake fluid and probably add an oil cooler and some better tyres.

A lot of the fast guys ar the track drive pretty stock cars
more power does not make you a better driver

Take your car stock to track see how you go
as you get better add brake pads\fluid better tyres and oil cooler

The if you want a bit more power add header and E85 with tune for $1000.

Once you can drive the wheels off that think about FI , supercharger wll be easier cheaper as you will need supporting mods for track use like clutch oil cooler brakes tyres
as a minium

You need to do more research and learn the risks before considering forced induction. Probably isn't the best idea since you're quite young and I know you find speeding a laughing matter.

screw these guys OP.. you should buy the crawford performance turbo kit. Matt Farrah featured it on his channel so you know its good. keep the stock tires and wheels though, they are light weight and you don't want to increase the unsprung mass. This car is all about light weight remember.

Also turbos work best when its cold or damp outside to keep them cool. So definitely test it out with full boost on your local backroads during that time.

Just curious as to why your mom and dad didn't buy a WRX if that's your baseline for how fast you want to go. Would have been similar money to the RS1.0. But what do I know? My parents stopped buying me things by the time I was 12. I don't know what it's like to not struggle.
