The 6000k gives a more natural feel at night, but only in perfect conditions. If the road is wet, I can't see the markings properly...
But as for the special projectors for HID, afaik, only difference is the adjustable cutoff plate. The projector housings are VERY unsophisticated compared to reflector housings, which use very complicated arrangement of flat (for most part) planes to create a dispersed beam of varying intensity to light up varying parts of the road to a different degree
Projector housings (the ones I pulled apart) consist of a light box, with a cutout plate and a lense infront of it to disperse the beam

Im not sure on figures but I was pleasantly suprised yesterday by how bright and white the GTS lights were.

Halogen projectors aren't designed with HID's in mind so the light dispersion pattern is different. There are scores of people that have gone the route of doing HID projector retrofits because obviously there is a big benefit.

Using a higher cooler temperature bulb also may have the effect of increasing drowsiness while driving at night. But we're talking something like going 8000K and above so 6000K is nothing to worry about as 6000K is just a slight blue tinge.

Hmm iv never hat that issue before
Il take photos on the next rx8 meet comparing a hid converted lights vs stock hid ones
