OP: Glad to see your ok. I can't imagine loosing my baby like that. I had a close encounter the night after driving it off the lot. Our drivers licence program in the states is a joke. They will hand them out to anyone. Good luck.

Just got back from the auto body. Claim specialist said about 6k for the exterior, the shop is gonna rip off the door because it wont open and other parts and have the adjuster come back to look at the interior. I really dont want to pay anything out of pocket since i wasn't at fault. Trying to figure out how to waive my deductible.

Her insurance should pay for everything!!! You won't have to pay a deductible.

once it's deemed the other party's fault, you don't have to pay the deductible. the only time you would pay the deductible (besides when it's your fault) is if you want to get your car fixed asap and have your insurance pay for the damages first. then once the other insurance company accepts liability, they'll pay your insurance company and then your insurance company would reimburse you for the deductible. if you dont want to pay anything at all to begin with, then you have to go through the other insurance company and basically allow them to handle all repairs/costs which can be short or long wait depending on the company's level of service. good luck.

How are you feeling? Is your body feeling sore or tense or anything?
You could start feeling the effects of the accident days later, so make sure you go to a doctor to get it checked out just in case.

Have you spoken with your insurance company regarding your deductible? To the best of my knowledge, I think you may have to pay the deductible first but you can go through the subrogation process to get your deductible back.
Not 100% sure though, insurance is tricky enough already without ab accident.

Hang in there and keep us updated.

Just called the insurance, their going to waive my deductible and than send a guy again for round 2 of inspections for interior damages. So far so good, I'm hoping the other party isn't going to pull a quick one and try to force the blame on me. Looks like my precious twin is going under repairs for the next month or so.

Go see a doctor while you can still get it linked to the accident and check everything out.

Also, i really don't see anyone blaming that on you.

I almost hit a stupid b***h who was decided to walk in front of me the same way you got hit :/

I always keep my eye out for those wackadoodle drivers, especially in 626. Had some Sienna minivan driving down Rosemead on the wrong side of the street! Needless to say, I utilized my honker very well that morning...
