Speaking of the stig...they dont have any good lines for introducing him yet. It's like we have this car and the stig is going to take it out on the track, watch! kinda lame, but over all the episode was better than the first, IMHO. I actually liked the blind "drifting". Then again I never had any high hopes for the show so its actually meeting my expectations. Hopefully they will replace the plaid guy, he is so boring.

This show just copies the real Top Gear.....I didn't get to watch Top Gear USA last night because I was watching The Walkingdead and there was no encore show for Top Gear like they did last week.
They copy the original show...In the UK they did the Evo against the Luge. They also did copy the helicopter part from last week. In the UK they did the Exige against an attack helicopter(Comanche I think) in the US they do a Viper against the Cobra. What a complete ripoff this show is. As far as the US track...it just sucks balls. Since I was at Sebring this weekend for an SCCA event. I was thinking that Sebring would be the perfect location for this show. First of all, it's a real track with a ton of history, technical corners, and long straights. Since the track was built on and around a runway(literally there is a little airport next to the track itself)they can do their top speed test there. |

i'll give the ep a 7/10. it was alright but the drift segment was really disheartening. seriously, only 1 out of 3 hosts knows how to drive at a proficient level? yeah the UK version has captain slow but at least he is funny.
the US show has 2 poor drivers neither of who is funny. the only time i laughed was when the dog took a piss on the stage. even he couldnt believe how incompetent those 2 guys were lol.

My new favourite Paul Tracy nickname is when he calls himself "Kill 'em all" Paul.
You really think he's the Stig? Not Tanner?

Episode 2: The Evo X segment was really nice, even though it was a bit similar to the UK's episode with the RS6. I just loved loved watching that thing move. But it's really sad that Foust is the only driver on the show. As everyone else mentioned, the Aston Martin segment was really drab. But that was due to the bearded guy - Wood. He is pretty terrible. Apparently he used to be an announcer for Nascar. While mildly entertaining because of the blind guy, the drift segment was more sad than anything else. Foust was able to teach a blind guy how to more or less handle a 370Z in one afternoon. The other two hosts didn't even try... and man, they really sucked behind the wheel. Sad thing is, the challenge was their idea. During "practice" all they did was spin out a few times and somehow thought they were doing a great job, so they goofed off until it was time for the challenge. WTF! And how the hell did they not know how to do a burn out... and in something like a 370Z? Come on! Conclusion: Foust is doing a good job, but it's unfair for 1 out of 3 hosts to try to carry the show on his own. Ferrara would be ok as the goofy one if they got someone else who could drive to replace Wood (bearded guy). He is really annoying.

Agreed -- I watched the episode with the Evo X which was the only episode posted for me to watch. Foust is pretty good but the other two are a joke. Sure the fat guy knows cars -- but he can't drive for shit. Sure the funny guy is funny... but he can't drive for shit.

I wonder if it Has similar episodes because its the same show essentially, I'm sure its the same high up people making the decisions on what the episodes are about? Its only been on a few times hopefully it will just get better though the 2 boneheads are a bit annoying sometimes and they have to test cars in the wide open flats so they don't wreck anything lol

I think someone should give the cast more caffeine before they get on stage. I'm liking the show enough to watch it alongside the Walking Dead of course but some of their performances seem really flat. I'm definitely liking Foust the best out of the hosts and actually enjoy the fact that him being an actual racer he definitely knows his stuff in almost everything. I also agree that Foust is Stig. It would be super easy for the crew to have Foust do a run on the track and then set up a mobile recording booth so that Foust to watch the view back and provide the appropriate commentay.

I just watched this weeks and they ended up having to race against the Stig, doesn't mean they didn't have a different one for this segment though...

Anyone can dress up as the stig though.
3rd episode actually made me laugh a couple times. Not to bad, but there wasnt a high end car go around the track that episode
