Nice writeup, good to know you considered most of aspects before buying this car, so no buyers remorse later: "Need more powaaa".
Probably my advice is also to consider future financial condition. Seems you just graduated and this means you have to consider some things: job security, buying a house, wedding etc. Anyway, congrats on your new car! |

I'm picking an FR-S, why, well I like the FR-S I drove and the BRZ is too bling for me. I like it's simplicity and well it's a little big less expensive and I can add on what I want.

The limited brz adds the biggest Interior difference with the hvac controls, and with that said, I'm not sure why anyone would favor the temperature controls of a base frs/premium brz over the hvac. The base/premium look is extremely dated. The hvac controls are ridicuously easy to understand and I don't think they can be knocked as being unsimplistic. Even looking at the base vs premium, there's only $100 manufacturer difference in the u.s, and you receive more features in the premium than the base at manufacturer model status (without dealer addons). What I'm trying to say, the "simplistic" viewpoint is pretty cliche on his sight and really doesn't make much sense in this current day of technology. |

HAHAHA made my day guys. Just be nice, i'm forever a noob and a kid at heart.
Well, got mine for $24k+ tax, 14k miles, 2014, whiteout. Free cheap car cover, extra floor mats x3, tank of gas+ $50 gas card, spoiler, TRD exhaust and intake (took it off for stock one bc it wasn't in box), and got free warranty on rims, tires, paint and i forgot what else that is not covered by Toyota's warranty. Total approx price $26,500 (was less). Original KBB and dealer they wanted for it was with tax and warranties $32k Price is bit high because tax was at 9.6% or so... I hate CA tax! |

Initially I was all about BRZ. I saw the FRS in person and decided the front end looked FAR better without the BBB (Big Black Bar).
That and the closest Subie dealer wanted $32K or something for the BRZ vs. $25K for the Scion. Yes, haggling is involved but I'd rather work on dropping a little bit or a few free extras vs. $7K to just get even! As for the back seats, I'm 6'3" and the only person who could sit behind me would have to have feet attached directly to pelvis. I tried sitting in the back with the driver's seat in normal position and let's just say if I was that flexible, I'd never leave the house!

i think the only reason to get the brz is the leather seats. when i was choosing, the frs did not have the touchscreen nav option. now it does. frs has a better front grill, better spoiler (IMO) and significantly better pricing (especially for lease). so unless you have to have the WRB blue, or have to have leather seats, the frs makes more sense.
