Yup, me too. But I still lock the doors as soon as I get in!

If I saw a fairly inexpensive or simple mod to get autolock, I would definitely go for it.

I hate reserecting an old thread.....but I did a search and didn't see anywhere where someone from the USA did this. I would like this feature, its an option I prefer and the cost isn't outrageous for it (like some people like yellow cars and I do not)


I emailed the Japanese company selling the TL86Plus which is for the BRZ Manual Transmission and they said if the model(chassis) number is DBA-ZC6 I'm good to go. I've read some conflicting things that Japan and USA model numbers are different and this may/may not work.


Where is that at on the car? Anyone from the USA do this mod successfully?

I did a search and it seems that "yes it's not fitted" and "you can only do it on the automatic".

However, I drive the manual, and my thinking is:

• The seatbelt warning alarm only triggers at a certain speed
• The doors can lock and unlock from a signal, because central locking

Do you think it will be possible to mod this???? Is it a common mod that people do on other cars??

I suppose it related to the original post so I guess I don't see an issue. I didn't realise this even existed so even if that link isn't live in the future, someone else browsing the forum may be able to find the info useful

Mine doesn't lock MY13 but I'm not paying that much money for that feature would rather just remember to lock it.
