It'd be ok. 370z-esque.

Well, if my calculations are correct:

FT86 = 280 HP/2500 lbs = .112 hp/lb
or 280 HP/2600 lbs = .108 hp/lb

370Z = 332 HP/3300 lbs = .101 hp/lb

That *should* be the weight of the FT86. Theres a pretty decent increase from the 370. But, all said and done, the car will likely be in the 30G territory just like the 370.

^ I don't expect a turbo FT-86 to weigh less than 2800lbs, however, even if it were the case, 0.07-0.012hp/lb is not a substantial increase.

Best bet is the car was recently spotted is another testing car. I don't think they want to confuse use by swapping the hood.

My guess is that their are two separate cars, and for one to have a scoop leads me to think there is a turbo version and an N/A version.

I'd rather have the lighter N/A version as long as the weight is down close to 2500lbs

HP per lb is more common, isn't it? Either way, the FT show car was 2645 so the production version is not going to be under 2700lbs. My estimates are 275 HP turbocharged at about 2750 lbs.

FT86 = 275 HP/2750 lbs = .100 hp/lb
= 2750 lbs/275 HP = 10 lb/hp

370Z = 332 HP/3300 lbs = .101 hp/lb
= 3300 lbs/332 HP = 9.94 lb/hp

That's nice and round haha

No, commonly you'd use a format of, for example, 12lbs/hp or say 150hp/tonne. That is the most common and best reference one would use.

As you can see, when you made the conversion, as I pointed out, the difference is very negligible, no?

They would be very close in a straight line. Cornering would be a different story

Obviously. Conversely, you coul imagine that on a more costly car, the engineering that went into the suspension setup would be higher so.....
