As far as break in, I have ~600 miles on mine and have kept it below 5k RPM due to the "1k mile rule." The worst part is you'll just be wishing u could wind it out

I would check on here there are several threads with people (sponsors) selling the valenti tails. I just ordered a set for a lot cheaper than I've seen elsewhere, not having received them yet I can't say much else about it.

Oh, and I wouldn't worry about the break in, rip through the gears like a maniac. After all how do you think people are driving the thing when they go for a test drive? "that was AWESOME! I can still smell burning rubber"- the salesman after my first test drive in a FR-S
Well maybe don't get too crazy with it but the occasional hard pull should be fine. "Break it in the way you expect to drive it" is one philosophy though.

Also, the car makes funny noises sometimes. 6MT might rattle or thud occasionally, and the motor sounds like a diesel at low RPM. Don't freak out like I did--it's fine. And seriously, follow the instructions for the break-in. Subaru makes the engine; I trust them to know how to break it in for maximum reliability. The car can still be plenty fun below 4k RPM. Suck it up and be a boring adult for 1k miles. |

Also, extended warranties are only as good as the dealer(s) providing service, so be sure to research this if your dealership options are limited in the area. -alex |

Check with @pansontw for some valenti tails, they got me a hell of a deal on the combo. As far as interior lights, @Diode_dynamics is the way to go. Good product, fast shipping and easy to build a kit on their website. Mine came in this week and I'll have some pictures on my build thread up soon.
Questions you may have soon, The "crickets" you hear about 3k miles in is normal, its from the fuel pump. My injen intake got rid of mine but not to say they won't come back. The shifter may feel stiff, deal with it for 5k miles and it WILL break in and get smoother. Also recommend some different tranny fluid. Enjoy your new 86 and welcome to the forums!

You can go here to see all the options. http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/l...ubaru/brz.html Here is a sample of some of the before and after as far as the increased light output is concerned. ![]() And here is a video I made comparing their XP80 "brighter than stock" turn signal bulbs. It's a bit wordy, but it gets the point across... (note that none of the interior lights, had been replaced when this video was made.) Yeah. The yellow color of stock bulbs really looks messy and old and ugly.

Anyone else have this problems with the sti kit?
