1-6 straight cut. That thing will whine, but some of us love that sound. I can't see buying a $20,000 transmission for a $30,000 car, though.

Yeah agreed but it would be cheaper than spending $20k on a transmission then putting it in a $70,000 car.

Yeah, but the $70,000 car might actually need it. Think of what $20,000 spent under the hood and throughout the suspension and drivetrain of the BRZ would do for you. Sure the other guy has a nice sounding transmission, but you can't hear and neither can he because the roar of your actually powerful car would drown it out.

So what you are saying is you need to do $70,000 worth of mods to your BRZ/FRS/86 before you spend $20,000 on the gearbox?

No, I'd do $20,000 worth of suspension, brake, drive train and engine mods before I would waste it on that transmission, but, realistically, I wouldn't even do that much, maybe $5,000.

I would put that transmission in my GT-R if I folded bank like that, but right now it's all about getting it back on the road.

Try photography. Typical to put a $2000 dollar lens on an $800 camera.

I was quoted 17,500$ for their standard sequential and the 86 install kit before shipping. Good for 270 foot pounds of torque. The sg3 which can hold more I was quoted 20k.

All things considered; this is cool as shit. I saw a WTA 1000hp Evo 9 set a lap record with a fat BW turbo and a holinger trans.
There have been two local auto trans blown that I know of. One at lower than 300 wtq and the other at a bit more than 300 wtq.

Do you have anymore details? Be curious to know if they had just lemons or the auto isnt being pushed nearly as hard as the manual

If its possible I wonder if an R154 swap would be cheaper than an auto with the full upgrades
