Yes, in reality you can do anything you want. If you are willing to fold up your plate then really all you need is some zip ties and your all set. I had the plate on another car folded and I just didn't want that on this car. I'm hoping that in NY the cops are just happy there is a plate. If I have any trouble at all it will be moved back the the original setup.
