see for yourself

G manual = 2.41m yen
GT Limited manual = 2.97m yen

diff = 560k yen

@ A$1 = 75 yen -> AUD$7500....

as i said they added some equipment in the GT and taken some off the GTS so the gap should be smaller, but unlikely to be $3,500 smaller.

personally i'd prefer if TMCA would bring in the JDM GT spec instead of GT Limited, then the gap would be around $4k. i can do without suede heated seats and rear foggie.

i really hope i'm proven wrong.

Hi All,

I cant wait for Monday, have already placed a pre order for a 6MT GT manual, dealer advised delivery in launch month i.e June i hope

Does anyone have any idea what the Aussie GT spec interior looks like, as this is the only model I could possibly afford, I hope the interior is similar to GTS version.

Lets hope for a good surprise on Monday once the pricing is announced.

GT interior is likely not to have the following from the GTS model:

- silver interior trims,
- sports pedals,
- suede/leather seats (replaced by cloth);
- keyless go button;
- climate control (replaced by air cond)

The price for the 86 in Philippines has been announced, the 3 models that they are getting are:

- 86 2.0 AT Aero - P1,860,000 - $44,087
- 86 2.0 AT - P1,650,000 - $39,110
- 86 2.0 MT - P1,550,000 - $36,740

* Additional P15,000 ($355) for Pearl White Paint

$44K for top of the line automatic + aero kit - I think that is very reasonable - hopefully we will get pricing somewhere close to this.

Philippines pricing for various cars seem very similar to Aus pricing, just hoping the GTS to be low to mid $40s drive away - no more to pay.

The other thing that comes to mind is the Subaru WRX is $44k driveaway already, and Subaru has confirmed the BRZ will be priced lower and it has all the bells and whistles. So expecting it be around $42k ..

Just my analysis on pricing.

Also i hope dealers don sting customers with excess dealer delivery, how does one determine whats a fair dealer delivery charge ?

they used to be able to do it but not any more. the max you pay is the price on TMCA website. all manufucturers must show drive away price on their website and hence they now ask your location to determine the state tax and rego cost. so the drive away (max) price for all dealers in a particular state will be the same.

Cool, thanks for sharing that,

I happen to ask the question to a couple of dealers few days ago and their response for different, one quoted $19xx and the other quoted $25xx.

maybe the price of the car is reduced for the $25xx one.

it's illegal to charge higher than stated drive away price. therefore what's on the website is the max they can charge.

This is my understanding of how it works

RRP + Dealer Delievery + Stamp Duty + Registration Cost = Drive away price

So the RRP will be standard across AUS, is that what you are referring to ??
