I doubt the Chinese knockoffs are CNC'd from billet. More than likely they are cast. To each his own, but I'd never recommend anyone put a chinese knockoff part directly on their engine.

the large amount of items you find on Ebay are coming from China, they personalize your submitted logo...but if you see with attention and care, you will find same and equal description and hardware (T6061) of sold items over Ebay and E-commerce platform both in Europe than in US Market. I doubt that US and Europe can manage today this kind of job internally...., it's all outsourced with non Western quality.
Fake items excluded....

Only Japan protected and protect severely proper manufacturing companies.

I'm a mechanical engineer working in a US company so I know how farming works...

The main thing is that a "brand name" sends out files to be cut and then does QC on their parts prior to the end users receiving them, on the other hand, the ebay companies blatantly copy others' designs and have no idea about design intent and what to QC...

And all companies can't be pooled this way. Look at Raceng for example, who design and manufacture in the US.

Plus, @Raceseng is an upstanding business, and when they have issues, they correct them. Something unheard of among many companies now.

as a side note, cheap knockoff's kill the car mod business...but what do we care, right? Rip-off companies who steal from bigger companies who take time to design parts is fine, they're big and can take it! Screw them!
