Mount some spikes to your bumper and see if he keeps doing it.

Definitely don't accidentally roll back into his car though........

In Brazil, nearly all cars have tow balls installed as rear bumper protection. Not sure what they do about the front.

I've seen plenty of trucks in NYC with brush guards:

You can either use comprehensive to fix it, pay out of pocket, or try to get his insurance to fix it. Or you can live with it. Since you live in a big city it will probably happen again, unfortunately. (Another reason not to live in a city!)

If it were me, I'd live with it for now (or touch up paint). In 2 years your bumper will be trashed from rock chips anyway. Fix it down the road when you decide you want a perfect bumper again.

I was going to get my bumper repainted on my WRX, but then I realized I would never get that money back. I don't think these minor cosmetic blemishes annoy a used car shopper as much as it annoys the original owner.

You should have filed the report anyway. Sometimes people can be honest. I would be getting it fixed. Looks like a new bumper and plastic will be needed. It's a new car so I would expect it to stay that way for a while.

One of the few rules you want to live in life is: Do not lie to police. About anything, ever. They can be real pricks about that (for good reason).

File a report anyways, leave him in a position to lie to the police.

Reach out to his insurance. etc. Take him to small claims, let him lie to a judge.

Should have released the air from all his tires.

In NYC if there is a parking space a smart car can fit in, guaranteed a Suburban will try to get in it.

Should've socked the kid in the face, break his nose and knock him out. Cops come, tell him he could've done that to himself. Walk away.

WHAT DO? leave a note or what

will post pics shortly

to moderators, if this is not the right place please forgive me
Call the Police immediately! File a report and send that report along with the photos to your insurance company. Then get your car fixed on their insurance's dime.

That is truly BS... I would rather wait outside for the drivers return with any one of these pictured below but that wouldn't be a very good ending ...
