Since I just did a dumbass customer thing how about I share one with the world.
Years ago I ran a retail store. Hired a deaf woman. She was great. Good with the customers and a consistent performer. One day a customer walks up and asks a question as the deaf employee is turning to walk away. Of course she is not aware and continues to walk away. I step up and ask if I can help. Customer, noticing my name badge saying manager immediately tears into me irately complaining about the rude employee. I explain to her that the woman is deaf and reassert that I'd be glad to help her myself. Her reply "well then why did you hire a deaf person." She goes on to ask for the complaint department. I hand a her card with an email addy and a phone number for that purpose and she proceeds to storm out Yelling as she goes that she's going to get me fired. Even better, one day a woman comes in. She trips and falls twisting her ankle. We call an ambulance. Help to carry her out everyone being as courteous as possible. The lady comes back in the next day and tells me she is going to sue me. Sigh, I hand her the card. Tell her that it is a Corporation and they'll handle all the legal stuff. Sure enough it blows up. She, her lawyer and our Corporate lawyer show up a couple days later to investigate. Employees who were helping her explain that she smelled of alcohol and was probably drunk. She asks "If they knew I was drunk then why did they allow me in the store?" Never found what came of that. |

I work at a car dealership as an internet sales manager. Say what you will about us, but I could probably fill this entire thread with excellent examples of people who are scumbag degenerates and morons in every sense of the word.
Ranging from mild autism like "My car is worth $12,000 retail value, why aren't you giving me that?" To full-blown retards that ask "Cash price is half off, right?"

I'm a little kids soccer coach while I'm in school. The day is winding down and things are starting to get picked up. The field is divided into sections for smaller fields; two of these smaller fields ends 15 minutes after the rest of the fields do. So we're cleaning and putting the equipment away, which requires us to cross the two fields still in play, yet we go to the side and mind the kids playing.
Now as soon as this happens some Asian dad comes storming out onto the field and starts screaming at us for interrupting his sons game (his son is 4) and that he and his honor are being disrespected, blah blah blah, I need to speak with a manager this is bs, all that jazz. What made it better was a (currently not an employee anymore) co worker who was just a lazy idiot comes to try and calm the guy down...which made it worse. I just turned around and walked away, there was no chance in hell I was going to let myself get screamed at lol

I manage a restaurant where we sell our tea by the gallon if customers want to take some home. We gallon it ourselves every day in the store. A customer ordered a gallon and wanted it made fresh (we normally make them the night before for the following day). This is common so I say sure and go grab an empty gallon and start to make it right in front of them. After it is filled, I lid it and hand it to him. He looks at me as if I had just spat in his face and asked for the manager. I told him I am the manager and asked if anything was wrong. He wanted to know what my qualifications were for putting the lid on the gallon jug. I had no response.

Years ago i worked on a technical support desk
Here is how the conversation went: Me: Thank you for calling "Company name". You are speaking to Nishan, how may I help you? Customer: Hallo. I cant send SMS from my phone Me: ok, what type of phone is it? Customer: a Sony Erection Me: Umm..... oookaaaay, what happens when you try to send a message from your Erection? By this time i'm already tearing with laughter and using the mute button alot. The conversation continued with me probing his Erection issues... My colleagues who could overhear me were rolling on the floor laughing. ![]() Another time, working at a cellular company a chap calls in to ask for assistance on using an ATM...

Hahaha. Yeah, being an internet provider I get TONS of people who don't know how to use their computer and expect me to fix it.. Or they'll ask how to hook stuff up to their TV, like a PS4.
Edit: In fact, here's an email we got today. Quote:

The middle of a conversation I had today, I went over some stuff beforehand that didn't require me pulling his account up because it was just general feature stuff. Then this..
[14:04:26] customer: what about my online account [14:04:28] customer: is it registered? [14:04:39] customer: my wife said it was but i don't know [14:05:03] me: I would be glad to check. What is your account number, or the address where you have service? [14:05:14] customer: [address (without city/state) omitted] [14:05:30] me: What is the city and state? [14:05:53] customer: [omitted] [14:07:18] me: I'm sorry, we don't provide service to [customer's state]. [14:07:56] me: Are you sure [My Company] is your provider? [14:08:48] customer has left the session.

As I was cleaning out my locker today (clocked out no i didnt get fired lol) I was leaving when a father and his son comes up to me.
His son was wearing a soccer shirt and ready to play soccer. This was around 6:30 when we close the field and adults come on and play league soccer. The conversation goes like this: Father: "hello, are you teaching my sons class?" Me: "I'm not sure, whats your name little buddy?" (Boy says his name) Me: "let me go check!" I go and check and notice he is an hour late for his class that was supposed to be at 5:30 Me: "well it seems he was late for his class, which was at 5:30" Father: "What do you mean late? Im here now, teach my son soccer" Me: "Im sorry, class is already over, youre welcome to come next week at 5:30" Father: "Is this what you call a business? This place is going to go bankrupt, Im never coming back here again. Youre an asshole" I didnt say anything and he turned around and left... Oh god I wanted to punch him so bad.

This guy was coughing up blood and mad because he wanted pain medication (junkie). So he tried to throw the blood he had been spitting in a basin toward us. But when he threw it splashed in his face. So I told him, sir you dropped something.

Working for a Credit Card collection company. So many stories to pick from.
Some lady calls in looking to settle on her account. Complains that her payments are too high. Asked her if she was having difficulty making payments. She replied "No, but I have 300 to settle (racked up 6000 in debt). Another guy was 5 months past due and charged up a BRZ worth of debt. Refused to make a payment and asked for a manager when I told him he couldn't use the card. And my favorite, "I didn't receive my bill"...even tho I had email alerts, text messages and phone calls saying a bill is due. |

[14:58:29] me: Hello, [Customer]! Thank you for choosing [My Company] Online Support. My name is [me] and I would be happy to assist you today.
[14:59:27] customer: we are still having problems. would like to get a tech to come out [15:02:25] me: I apologize, I'm having a bit of trouble finding your account. Are you sure you have [My Company] service? [15:04:30] customer: no, I have [Competitor] phone/tv/and cable, guess I contacted wrong person. sorry. thanks [15:04:44] me: No problem. Have a great day! [15:05:45] customer has left the session. This would be okay on the phone.. It's easy to be given the wrong number, or dial the wrong one. But.. To come to our website that has our name clearly written all over it, and to wait in queue for a chat agent where it clearly says "One moment while we find a [my company] representative to assist you"... I mean, really? And this is the second one I've had today.
