Lockup and Decel are independently adjustable.... its based off wheel speed of the inner and outer during turns.

Interesting. Any pictures of their internals, on how they do that?
The last GT unit I had my hands on looked no different than your average clutch type diff....

Link isn't loading for me.

If the LSD comes with the ring gear on it, then it is transmission specific. If you're using the stock ring/pinion it doesn't matter.

You *could* run the manual final drive with an automatic too, but then you would have to pull the pinion from diff pumpkin.

Ok, just talked to @CSG David and I'll get their Cusco setup configured the way @CSG Mike likes it

Now the big question that will be addressed tomorrow: will Scion want to replace the diff and in the process open up and install Cusco bits, or will they just install the new diff as is and I'll get someone else to install Cusco...crossing fingers...

Much appreciate all responses

Both Cusco and OSG headquarters are within 30 minutes of CSG We've been using the Cusco differential, but you can't go wrong with either unit.

Are they installing it under warranty, or are you paying them to install it?

If it's under warranty, there's no way they'll replace OEM with aftermarket IMO. If you're paying for the replacement, they'll install whatever you want.

Yeah, I talked to CSG today and we agree that it's best to have diff replaced under warranty and then I'll have an experienced diff shop install Cusco LSD into the pumpkin afterwards.

No warranty replacement of the diff, Scion refused due to modifications. No big deal as Cusco is going in. Apparently some clip from the 600HP DSS axle (http://www.driveshaftshop.com/featur...-in-rear-axles) damaged some seal but it's not a differential seal but the axle seal...unclear, will get more info soon when I pick up the car. Also, this is causing the rear right axle to separate...

Aftermarket differential (LSD) options for automatic transmission (AT)?

Yeah, no big deal, comes with the territory. I am a little bit concerned about DSS axles, as the first set I got was leaking axle grease from both (probably just the metal ring wasn't tightened enough, it can happen)...but now this axle pin damaging axle seal and the axle separating...let's see what happens...I don't really want to go back to stock axles as that is a weak point with more power and tracking...hope this gets sorted out with DSS.

I don't blame scion for their course of action as it appears that failure may have been caused by an aftermarket part.

I know that @PrimeMotoring will take care of me, just scheduled seal replacement and putting in original axles on Tuesday.
