Any thoughts on EBC red or yellow?
A lot of people consider those an alternative to HP+s.

HPs pads are good street use pads. They need less heat to perform at their peak, but fade when using them for anything more than street (track days).

Carbotech XP10, Heavy initial bite and hold, heavy dusting(pitting and staining of wheels). My choice for track only cars and high powered, fast race cars.

Biggest factor over stock braking system is the Castrol SRF brake fluid. Really allows the pad to work instead of the fluid boiling.
This.

HP+ is adequate enough as autocross, very popular among lighter chassis such as E30 or miata crowd.

DTC-30 is also a good alternative, not as hardcore as DTC60 but seems to fit the application you're looking for....I hope you like black wheels though.

Had them on my Civic Si. They stopped very well. Even cold they'd hauled down better than stock, and when they warmed up they bit very hard. I always had really sticky tires on the car though so I could use the added bite.

I had white wheels, the dust was awful and seemed more corrosive than a stock pad.

If you have a nice set of wheels I'd wash, polish and wax them regularly with high wearing pads.

Mine did squeal some but never really bad. More along the lines where some people with their windows down might show a casual interest in what old jalopy was pulling up next to them at a light. Never loud enough to bother me and I'm pretty anal.

I have HP+ front and rear on my FR-S. Did fine at Mid-Ohio last week. 4 or 5 lapping sessions. No fade or other issues. Going from the back straight into China Beach is 115mph-ish down to 60mph-ish. The brakes were good enough that I never got worried about them. May be a little squealing on the way home.
Super Blue Fluid, braided lines, 225 *specs if it matters.

BTW, FT86SPEEDFACTORY did me a favor and overnighted the rear pads just in time. Thanks again to Yo and Jeremy.
