Sure, next time I park alongside you, I'll check if your tyres are suitable.
I'd hate to make that mistake

On a more serious note, I rotated my semis today and I'm thrilled that they're holding up so well.
Two months ago, I rotated them front to back.
Today I rotated the insides to the outside, and they're looking great!!
The insides (which were the outsides) are finished, so my timing to rotate was perfect see last photo.
Now they're good for several more track days - see photos 1 & 2.

I always thought that proper racing tyres were to make you faster (which I'm not convinced they do, because my Federal road tyres are seriously quick until they overheat), but the semis do last so much better on track.

I believe that it's all to do with temperature.
A road tyre must be able to grip properly at low temp, but then they get into trouble when they get overheated (with matching excessive wear), whereas a track tyre is dangerous when it's cold and horrible to ride on the roads, but once it's really hot, it works like a bomb, and it can cope with the heat.

I bought this set of 225/45R17 Bridgestone RE11S's on 25/06/15.
Since then, they've done 6 track days comprising 35 sessions and 206 laps, being:
Red Star - 3 days, 20 sessions, 81 laps
Zwartkops - 2 days, 8 sessions, 66 laps
Midvaal - 1 day, 7 sessions, 59 laps

I'm a happy camper, whoo-hoo!!

Holy shit, you posted this comment in 2014 if I read correctly. Sorry for the resurrection but this thread is still going. In any case, I'd just like to add an anecdote here. I cross rotated as per the manual, and wow was the car tail happy. The first test trip I did around the block was a giggle. Now it all feels normal again, but it was immediately noticeable. I thought I'd done something wrong.

As for alignment - I've decided to hold onto my camber bolts until I can see uneven wear. Then I will fit them and compare again in the future. Gotta apply that scientific method.
