15K is unrealistic, but I know that wasn't your point. You just prefer the old design over the new one. But there have been more 2nd gen tC's than 1st gen where I live, so it might be selling well...even at 19K.

Yeah, they really effed up the new TC design. The old one had nice clean lines, not unlike a small 3 series BMW coupe. The new one is all blocky and junky looking. Shame.

plus when i got my tC, they were 15k to start, so even with the last couple years of the first gen i thought they were charging too much! lol one thing to tell everyone who thinks it is too much now, wait until they release the 2014s and buy a left over 2013, Scion takes $1k off MSRP for old models once the new ones are released, and EVERY year, scion raises the prices a little, so this first round here now is likely the cheapest you will ever get to buy a new FR-S I might do that if i don't want the RS. 1k off MSRP now is right where i think the price should start

I agree all about the tC, the 1st gen looked so much better, it is one of the main reasons I stopped looking at it once I saw the FR-S. Of course the FR-S has a lot more reasons to get it than just looks, but looks is a huge part of it. Also 5k for something you love compared to something you like is a small difference.

I've been part of the tc crowd and I'm sorry but the fanboys are head over heels on the car. I switched to an ep3 civic and was much happier with the feel of the car. It wasn't about power, in the tc I felt like I was driving a cobalt or a neon on the road. The design of the first gen was nice though, the second gen is just...meh

I prefer the tails of the tC over those of the FR-S
Plus it even has a duckbill Toyota went stupid on designing the GT86 and struck gold designing the tC /troll But seriously, I prefer the tC's tails SHAPE over those of the FRS

Well I had a first gen tC and now I have a gen2 RS-7 tC and there are things I like about both of them. Lets get passed the RWD vs FWD thing for a minute and talk about the two cars my tC RS-7 was $24k and I purchased it new for $20k and the FRS I posted is $28k and I can buy it for $25k so there's $5k difference in price not so bad IMO.
Now I can walk around the FRS and find things I don't like about it but the only thing I don't like about the tC is Toyota could have made it RWD or "Poor Man's" AWD car. I'm going to buy a FRS but not this one as I don't like the firestorm color and my dealer told me he could get me any color with any options so it's not a big deal. Now as for both of these new cars go they can't out run or drift better than my real Toyota sports car the Supra. Snoopyalien24 I hope you didn't just call me a troll as I've owned 43 Toyotas over the years and I've been modding the from 1970 till now.
