The Blox Type-R I wanted also has the wrong shift pattern.

Haha, a couple of my friends (one drives a WRX and one drives a Mazda 3 Speed) wanted to drive my BRZ and were absolutely befuddled about the lift-and-go-left reverse method in the BRZ. I guess it's not common?

It's becoming more common. My friends 2012 Tacoma was the same. It IS funny taking the car to a full service car wash and watch everyone try to figure out how to back it out of the garage lol.

But I believe most older 6-speeds were all the way to the right and either up or down.

If you want high get the part shop max adjustable knob. Heavy and Gets high, or the 9k racing one.
