I had a slightly modified 07 si coupe. I'm sure the 2013 is similar but w/ a few more enhancements. its a fun car to play with but I've definitely enjoyed my switch over to the BRZ. civic definitely has more room in it (even the coupes). i think the civic would be a slightly better DD but can't go wrong either way

My last car right before it got totalled by an old woman pulling out in front of me last year, was a 2009 civic SI and i absolutely loved it. That being said. I love my FR-S more in every way. The only thing i liked more in my SI was the back seats. Which i rarely ever used. Even the trunk wasn't much bigger. I have been genuinely surprised by the trunk space in my frs. I would CERTAINLY go for the FR-S. PS if you do go for the SI. Get the KN typhoon intake, it makes the vtec sound absolutely brutal haha.

Itll cost roughly the same as an FR-S

EDIT also if he wants to travel anywhere or if he ever moves it'll suit any climate
They also circle drift pretty hilariously, too. AWD is pure win in the rain and snow assuming your tires don't suck.

Thanks for all the input, guys.

He ended up buying a 4 door Civic SI sedan. He's a big guy, 6' and 260 pounds and felt more comfortable in a Civic.

He bought a new 2013 SI for $23,000 out the door and paid cash so he has no payments.

Lucky man...

I told him I'll race his ass someday...and he'll be sorry he didn't buy an FR-S!!!!

If he was going to stick to fail wheel drive, he should have at least went for Mazdaspeed3 or Focus ST. Why Si when you can get substantially faster cars that are boosted from the factory for the same money?

Anyway, congrats on his new car.

He told me another reason he went with the SI sedan was to be able to haul his teenagers and other people around instead of using his wife's van.

My previous car was 2010 Mazdaspeed3. It has like triple the amount of cargo space than Si since it's a hatchback. That car hauled so much shits in the back and fast as shit with couple bolt ons and cobb ap tune.

But it's a done deal. Tell him to mod the car asap. lol

Every car has it's angles. Heck I personally think from straight on. The frs is butt ugly. But from a partial side view, the car is money.

Si looks ugly from all angles.

What's your point?

from the side angle on the BRZ, I can see between the gaps in the front of the door and body panels, a place where it's hard to get in and clean. Not its best angle.

I'm saying everyone has their opinion. Because you think it's ugly doesn't mean the world thinks it's ugly.
