Typical fanboy. Looks like a video Scion would market along with CD's of dub step compilations.

Why would you put a sticker on your car that said #momsmoney

I can't even imagine that in a school parking lot. That thing would get vandalized like crazy

I'm not hating, it's a nice build and I'm sure the guy is a good dude, I just couldn't take how many first world problems were exaggerated to make the film more dramatic than it really was.

Is he a trust fund baby or something? How could you afford this life style so young?

I run a skateshop/street wear shop that I used to skate for back when I was little all in all I have been with my company as a worker since I was 16 I am now 21 and hopefully plan on expanding further within my company.
Most of my cars were all older Hondas only my last 3 Hondas did I really start "building" them other than that I was trading them every other month. It's been rough getting back to a life with only one income hence why the car has relatively stayed the same but finally getting back stable financially and ready to take on my new project.

And their will never be any rust in a few clips you can see my friend Justin who is my painter shaving down the cuts to apply a paint coat to the exposed metal

Impossible. He put 20k into this car. To be able to have 20k to toss around into a car, in 7 months? If you look past living expenses (maybe he lives with mom?), you'd need to save around 2800 bucks a month. I don't know how many people have 3 grand in their budget for "fun" .. and if they do.. well they're making quite a bit over 100k. Not at 20

Its not all that impossible. If you go through college, go through an internship, and then finally land a job that is a career... yeah it takes a while before you start seeing money.

BUT, if you run your own business at 20 then your life could be very different. There are always benefits of not following the hallowed path of a college graduate. You don't have limitations on work when you entrepreneur and apply yourself.

At 18 you can sign up to work on an oil rig at $70k a year and you get 6 months of vacation. With no kids it would be pretty easy to dump $20k into a car over 7 months at that pay rate. Even more so, I find that a lot of car guys don't spend a whole lot of money outside of their car trying to impress people.

I dumped $15,000 into my last car when I was 18-19. And I also ventured down the road of being self employed by the time I was 20.

But he "runs a store" thats managed by another company. So essentially, he's a store manager. He is not an entrepreneur. Unless it's a franchise.. how could he afford it?

And it's probably coming off like I'm jealous, but I'm so far from it. I genuinely think it would suck to be in a position where you are 20, are on your 28th car, blow tons of money on a car for a year, and then sell it off because you get tired of it. That's a horrible habit and honestly tends to lead me to believe he can never be content with his car hobby.

I am content with my car hobby. You know one of the joys of having a car hobby is? Always, always working your way up. Making your car nicer, getting nicer cars, etc. And he's burnt out. at 20.

I like the passion. But I too believe, he, like many others on this board, are just throwing parent's money at their car and getting the looks cuz they have essentially unlimited income/time on their hands? Congratulations? I'm 24 and have lived completely on my own since I was 19 and used my college degree to finally start (at the bottom) in a corporate job and actually earn the ability to own this car. I will admit that I am jealous because I grew up pretty far from this lifestyle. But to be burned out on your passion at only 20 (because you've been able to do what you want the whole time without consequence), no thank you.

yeah that does suck to be burnt out at 20... i could see how he could have 28 cars by now, maybe he bought a $500 car then traded for a $500 that needed minimal work, fixed it then traded it for a $2000 car, ect ect till he worked his way up owning multiple cars.

I only know of a few people that have done this personally and its actually profitable. Go on Craig's list and find a car a guy is trying to get rid of and part it out or fix it and sell more than the repair price and what the car is worth.

I personally couldn't imagine owning 28 cars myself lol....

Yeah well building cars and putting go fast parts gets you to a certain point on the street, when you want to start becoming competitive the amount you need is much MUCH more and its harder to grab your dreams without an awesome job, owning your own business, or getting sponsored. Each of those options all have their compromises of time and money. That's why passions become obsessions and normal judgment of monetary spending soon goes right out the window lol.

Where do people get this generic music for these "documents"? I swear, it's the same piano tune played every time to make something sound inspirational?

I don't guys, when I was 20 I was already working at an insurance company as a senior, and managed at 21. Pulled around $3400/month. However going back to university, I'm back into the part time range. Luckily I didn't blow all my money on my car and cant actually live like a normal person.

Just because someone is young doesn't mean they can't make money. The only thing that throws me off is how is engaged at 20.
