Hey guys, Pistol Pete here.

I'd certianly like to join if I buy a toyobaru. I'm undecided the moment. The problems with the car are being quickly exposed, despite the hype. The car has no torque and is down on power. The prius tyres are proving an embarrassment. Finally, the drive is fatiguing because you have to rev the hell out of the engine (5000 and above) to get the thing performing. Now these problems become ever more acute if you already drive a great car like the Focus RS, as I actually do, with it's majestic 440Nm of torque, which is all available around 2500rpm. I still want a 2nd car, a rear wheel drive coupe, but I just might have to go for a MX-5 or a 370Z. We'll see how it all pans out.

Meanwhile, good luck with the meetings. It's pointless me going with the RS because you guys wouldn't be able to see my twin tail pipes in the distance

Here's a pic of my angry little darling

The low power that Pete mentions as a problem may be such for some but frankly I don't mind this at all. I'm used to driving low power, high revving engines and it keeps me and my incurable lead foot under control in traffic and general daily driving. I don't find it a chore to drive in the high rev ranges, actually the last couple of cars I've had, that is where the best engine response is IMHO. In a NA engine anyway, I haven't driven enough turbo's to be able to comment on them.

i second that, just for fun most of the time i floor the car and the engine starts to really work on mid to high revs, the engine starts to roar. I just yell out in the car (sometimes, most of the times i just say it in my head) VTEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or (for non VTEC cars) POWERRRR!!!

yeah i know, i'm still a kid at heart! LOL!

I had a thought while on the way home from work yesterday on the train chilling out to my music on my Walkman mp3 (yeah i'm still rocking the Walkman) and i thought it'll awesome when this cruise takes place i'll grab my camera gear and make a video of NSW 86s and other cars on this forum.

so it'll be similar to what MCM has done, but I won't just have cars parked and people chilling out, i'll also grab shots of you guys driving your ride wether it be the 86 or another car. Then i'm going to throw some music to it and post it to this forum (if I can).

Question - What is one song you love to listen to while driving? It can music that gets you pumped up or music you like to cruise to.
