Cali is 91 octane unfortunately. Can't remember when shell stopped carrying SU2000 which was 93. That was early 90s.

There are websites where you can check for e85 stations based on proximity to your zipcode. A guy i know buys his e85 at an airport. That's what he says, anyway.

My friend use to buy aviation fuel for his dragster-ish mustang. I dunno too many airplanes that use E85 so why would they carry it? Maybe some airplanes do, I dont know?

Still my question remains, can't I just make my own Ethanol? Trust me it ain't that tough if you have had the college courses, classes and lab hours. Its a matter of scaling up production because using 24/40 Lab Glass and a vigreux column would take forever to keep your car going if you plan on DD your car with it.

In my area we have one consumer E85 pump and then another consumer-ish E85 pump near a rail yard that is primarily industrial customers. The more generic pump serves up a wintery blend this time of year, and the industrial is almost perfect 85%.

Consumer = Crest
Industrial = Sinclair

The Sinclair also carries race fuel despite the nearest track being a decently long drive, which is nifty.

Still wish we had a few more choices, but those two pumps work perfect for me!

Right on, just as long as it works and is within a convenient driving distance to you. I haven't been to Long Beach in sometime.
