RyanITV's FR-S 10 Series Build
Perrin exhaust showed up kinda late yesterday, so didn't even try to get it installed. Tonight - more boxes. The interior pieces from JPM Coachworks arrived as well as the OEM XM radio kit. Going to do the interior panels and XM at the same time as the OEM Audio + setup next week.
Side-by-side comparison of the OEM pipes vs the new 3" Perrin resonated exhaust. Perrin clamps are the shit. Very nice system - one if the best I've ever installed. Mounted the Password:JDM diffuser. Really impressed with the fitment - OEM quality, uses existing mounting hardware. Not too aggressive but definitely more noticeable than the BRZ diffuser. Decided to do the Rexspeed side skirts too - amazing what a difference they make visually. Added double sided tape to keep them from vibrating once mounted and sealed all holes with silicone. Flows well with the diffuser, IMHO... I did install the alcantra wrapped gauge hood - clean... Live the little details like this. Mark on the right is just my handprint - fit and finish is perfect in person. That was all I could manage tonight. This weekend I should be able to button up the front lip and swap the fogs for HIDs if all goes well. Ryan |

Got a text from the local shop - matte graphite 19" 57xtremes are due in on Monday, tires are there waiting for them. Can't wait!!!

How loud is it? I originally planned on going 3" as well to match my front pipe, but went with the Q300 instead... and it's dead quiet... and I'm kinda regretting it...

Wrapped up the front spoiler today. As with the side skirts, added 3M double sided trim tape to serve as a buffer between the paint and the spoiler.
Was tempted to start the satellite radio install, but it makes no sense with the other audio stuff arriving Tuesday. Wheels will be here Tuesday, then I'll change the springs. Ryan Last edited by RyanITV; 01-13-2014 at 08:29 AM. |
