I worked at ft Irwin for years in my last SUV.. Open filter on the intake.. SUV had 100k miles in the desert.. Regular cleanings.. As far as this, well here are the pictures, the outside was, as expected, dirty.. The inside and the pipe I didn't see a speck of dust... I'm NOT saying ultra fine particles didn't get through, but I don't think anything to hurt the engine.. Some baby their cars, others drive them

To be fair, I think we all would think twice about clogging dust in every crack and crevice which is likely to be permanent...
