Just got my car back from Georgetown Subaru, loose belly pan? and squealing whining under hood. Fixed the first, said I already have the last fuel pump so there's nothing they can do about the noise. Anyway I showed the service rep this hole, said he would look into it. I believe it's where you can insert your key and release your transmission to neutral, had to do this on one of my kid's car's but for the life of me I don't remember why. If I hear back from them I'll let you know, just doesn't look right.

That would make sense... I always thought it should have a little cap or something, it looks unrefined like it is.
