Talking

That 2nd picture in the OP's first post is a total photochop. Seriously, that looks horrid.

To me, going by the actual photos from the article itself it certainly looks like a Scion tC, not an FT-86.

Scions are silly. :P

The FT-86 will not replace the tC. If you go to the Scion Dimension site and go to the sneak preview pics. You see the same sunroof as the current tc and as of right now it has 8 speakers and thats about all you get. Thats alot of speakers for the tC in my opinion.

Care to link the picture?

I was just trying to stir the pot. I do think the FT will be a Toyota but I do think we should be prepared for the realities that the production model WILL look different than the concept. Particularly the fact that the fenders won't have large flares, the hood will be higher and the headlights/taillights will resemble those of their other Toyota cousins.

I don't mean to be a Soggy Sally but I think more than a few of us will be in for a rude awakening.

Click on "Get The New Dimension Widget" up on the right hand corner ...Theres short clips of what the tC will get. A clip comes out every day till the 31st...the debut of the tC at teh NY auto show.
Oh and one of the clips you get to see shows a quick glimpse of the head light and im kinda digging it.

Here is how i see it-
It more than likely will be sold as a scion.
It will have a base base base price of $19,999 so it can sell as a scion.
Scion tries to have this image of tuner friendly/ younger generation.
It will not be a new TC, it will be a completely new name.
And you're being more of a Negative Nancy.

If FT86 comes as a scion, count me out. I would rather spend 40K on a new STi(with BBS pkg), Nismo 370 or even a new Evo MR than buy a scion. We had some scions crash one of out suby meets , Oh yea....I could see it now...... my FT86 next to an two tone purple and yellow sparkly Xb with LA Lakers stickers all over it and lambo doors wide open and underbody neons flashing with trance music bumping and the owner of that monstrosity dancing his heart out next to it in the parking lot of an In-and-Out.

Seems kind of dumb to me to not buy a car because of other people. However, I can definitely sympathize with you on that note because there are a lot of stupid Scions out there. That's to be expected though when a car looks good and targets young buyers. I also think it might have to do with the price range too. Cheaper cars get riced out.
