BBK is not necessary. What's more important is having a good pad and DOT4 fluid that can take the heat. I believe the car's OEM braking system with good pads/fluid is more than enough to take even track and heavy canyon abuse. If you're looking to get consistent laptimes on the racetrack or 20x downhill runs at Initial D craziness, then BBK is nice to have. Focusing on good tires is just as important as having a good pad and fluid as well.

Clearly there are people who put BBKs on their cars for reasons other than performance. They know they dont need it there doing it for looks. but if you’re going to talk about performance you should try and get it right.

Car B: Has added significant rotating mass and should take slightly longer to stop.
