yes i winter drive my car, cuz i'm a badass.

us canadians and winter driving cars, i DDed my s2k for 2 years in the winter with ohlins TTX shocks and they held up fine. i just made sure to take a pressure washer to the wheel wells whenever i could to get the salt off of them. never had any issues these seem to be pretty similar so i would think it will be fine.

FWIW: Ohlins is based in Sweden. I doubt they would have any serious issues considering the location of their country and their winters.

This isn't like a Taiwanese company trying to make a "winter-ready" coilover.

No.. but if the salt used in Ontario is anything near what I saw when I was in Quebec last year... GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

The only external steel component is the shaft (which is covered by accordian rubber gaiters), the threaded part and the bodies are aluminum, so no rust worries. I think at least the bodies are teflon coated. They salt-spray test them and have a 2-year warranty, they are intended to deal with road usage.

They do recommend periodic cleaning with "soft" detergent and compressed air, and to spray with WD40 after cleaning.

The "standard" setting is 20mm front 15mm rear, which is barely 0.787" front and 0.60" rear drop. I'm pretty much going another 1/4~1/3" beyond that, not a gigantic difference...

I think the X-factor here is choice of tires, as sidewall stiffness will make a huge difference. We shall see.

You are right its not that low. But low enough where I could not fit on alignment racks and normal lifts without boards and other considerations so I stayed at 10mm F and R.
