^ If you were browsing these forums as often as some of these long time members, you'll realize cycling through 10 threads with the same info, is way more difficult/irritating/tiresome, than cycling through one thread. If everyone thought like you, this place would be chaos. The only reason ask to search first is to keep the place organized and somewhat easy to read through. Its just common etiquette. derp.

Nah, most of these threads are titled correctly enough that people can avoid repeat threads if they choose to. Personally I don't mind seeing some threads rehashed because it brings up some of the thoughts and opinions of the fresh blood on the forums. Yes, it gets a little old seeing some of the same threads pop up over and over again. But to me it gets just as old seeing the same people complaining about said threads over and over again. Everybody serves their purpose on the forums I suppose.

also, when the old thread already had 20 pages, its really hard and time consuming to go find the infos u need in that 20 pages. well i guess at the end of the day, the forum would look better organized if all related discussion are posted in 1 topic, just alot more work for the guy looking for that info.

I have read the old thread. Since the other is an old thread, then what is the difference between me bumping it up with a question and making a new thread? The result is the same: a thread on the front page, no more or less clutter.

However, in the old thread, it is filled with speculation based on pictures only, whereas I specifically ask if anyone has actually SEEN and felt the seats in person. I don't want to hear more guesses. Unfortunately, all that has resulted is a ton of useless "use the search function" replies, which are even LESS useful than this thread, because you are bumping up what you think is pointless.

easy. When the next guy thinking about it does search he or he finds one thread with ll of the info instead of 12 threads.

Does it really do any good to go in and post this on all the new threads? Let the moderators of the site do their job, if you don't like a thread or it's already been posted and discussed, don't post in it, then it will sink to the bottom and you wont have to see it anymore.

By coming in each thread and complaining about how it has already been discussed you're just making the situation worse. It doesn't stop new people from posting new threads without searching, it just bumps their new threads up higher to the top and makes you look like jerks.

Notice how it is all noobs with < 100 posts who joined within the past couple of months complaining. You are just being lazy and don't respect the work that has already been done on this forum. There is a reason a search function is integrated into the forum. Might as well start more threads today complaining about price, slow 0-60, plans for a STI version, what colors we want to pick. I'll make that my goal today.

Post count doesn't always correlate with post quality. Some of us abstain from posting in threads when we have nothing to contribute.

Then you have extra free time to search. All one had to do was go into advanced search and search for "seats" by title. Bang there it is and it takes less than 15 seconds. Many of the posters who have recently joined in Feb/March don't realize how many topics we have already been through.

Some of us have been here for years. We've also look (Yes some of us do) through all the threads and it is incredibly irritating when you see the same thread titled slightly differently multiple times.

Most of the older members jump in and say search because you really COULD SEARCH to find the topic. Unless you want mods to just lock/delete your thread without anyone saying anything sure. They can do that too, but that seems to piss people off right away.

You realize you can search in the actual thread right? There's a search tab at the top.

Don't try to avoid it. You can search for anything.
