and method described in this topic does not help. this rattle comes from a locker...
also the shifter is awesome i like it very much. but i cant drive with such annoying noise, because the worst sound- is about from 5000 rpm till the end, so its like always heard..=(
So pleae guys, or mr TomKartboy- help me to solve this problem! maybe i shold take out this locker (if it possible like in the stock shifter) and put some grease there?
Stop driving at over 5000 rpm. Normal driving should not require you to be above 3000 rpm. Double check that everything is still tight.

So you are saying that you run the shit out of your car whenever you drive it? Normal driving is at 2500-3000 rpms. Taking off and passing people then yes, you will go through and above 5000 rpms. He was implying that he was running at 5000 rpms all the time. If you have to drive with the engine at over 3500 rpm then relearn how to drive a manual transmission. My previous car had 110 hp and was about the same weight as the BRZ, tell me again about no power.

And the problem is when you are running the engine at higher rpms then it needs to be. Everything on a car will make noise at some different rpm. It's called a resonant frequency.

Great! Now only if someone can figure out how to fix the shifter play/slope then I'll be a happy camper!
