I'm confused. The lightweight pulleys are somehow changing the speed at which my auxillary equipment is spinning? I don't see how losing weight will "underdrive" the A/C or altenator.
Please explain this to me? |

It won't. An underdriven pulley has a different diameter, THAT is changing the speed of your auxiliary equipment is spinning.

I was just confused as to how "underdriven" got into the conversation. Thanks for clearing up that these are not underdrive pulleys.

Not all aftermarket pulleys will "under drive" your accessories. Only pulleys that are specifically labeled under drive will do this. They do this by making the crank pulley a slightly smaller diameter than the stock pulley. This causes the accessory belt to run at a slower rate given the same rpm, this "under" driving the accessories connected to it.

That needs to be done for each one of them rather than just the whole thing. The weight saved can be easily calculated with having the two rows there. |

I'm addressing Diss7, what's confusing you friendo? His post was the source of discussion for the bulk of the posts in this thread (following his post, imagine that!) when I posted my post. If you need more context clues...well, pal, try public school.
