My uncle had a Datsun 510 wagon. It was a tin can, but it was fun to ride around in.

With a 5-speed, R200 LSD, and 2.8 bored/stroked to 3.1 liters, roll bar, no spare, mine weighed 2350 lb. empty. ~51/49 empty, ~49/51 with driver and fuel.
240Z is a car for the ages, one of the few true landmark sports cars from Japan. Somebody should build a modern 240Z, *and* a modern 510 lineup including 2-, 4-, 3-, and 5-door models... FR-S/BRZ platform would seem to be a reasonable place to start

Honestly, the hopes are very high for this. But for the moment, the company announced that it'll only use the brand in easter-asian markets for affordable cars (a-la Tata Nano, and such).
But there's definitely some hope! |

Not the same thing. If they make a modern 510, hope it is both a 2 and 4 door to make both sets of fans happy.
