I find it interesting that we have already had at least one member denied a warranty repair on a broken axle with the reason for denial cited as the car being lowered. Now TRD is releasing lowering springs.

So would the axle have been covered if the car was lowered using these springs? How about if it is lowered on the TRD coilovers?

I seriously doubt they will lower the car more than an inch.
If that's the case, my Pro-Kit springs are for sale LOL.
I'd think they'll be around .75", maybe a little more.

TRD USA springs which dropped my Celica ~1.25" had more "aftermarket" characteristics than the JDM TRD springs on my MR-S which was dropped >1". In the Celica, I bottomed out sometimes (never happened in my MR-S) and the coils would bind/creak when banking sharply/quickly over uneven surfaces (but not in MR-S). But it can be different for every application and I'm interested to know how these particular ones turn out.

Most likely rebranded eibach prokit. Atleast they'll be covered by warranty.

For $210, and 1 to 1.5 drop, count me in!

Damn $210??? I'm gonna get me a set when they come out haha.. I was thinking of going with the Eibach Pro springs but these are a better deal considering it's TRD. 1.5" might be more than I want though... we'll see.

Good to know.
I hadn't considered those. I was going off of what TRD had offered for the Scion line, and the Corolla XRS. TRD USA seems to be a little more conservative these days. I too am interested to see the outcome.

It's about time they released them. The prototypes were about 20mm drop if I remember correctly, which is just around the 3/4" mark. 1.5" in the actual product seems a bit too hopeful in my opinion. They're meant to work with stock struts which can't handle any more than 1.0" so I'm guessing the springs will lower between 3/4" and 1", not 1" to 1.5".

Ah, what source shows the prototypes were a 20mm drop?

Either someone at the dealer or at the place I got my wheels and tires told me that the US TRD springs were rebranded Eibach Pro Kit springs. $210 is a steal though.

There was a thread on here a while back where someone had the TRD prototype springs on their FR-S. Exact measurements and prices were never revealed but I'm pretty sure they said about 20mm. I'll try to find the thread.
