buy pre-made piece and keep oem incase you want to go back. its going to be the easiest route.

Any reason you haven't considered one of the many Android based head units were talking about here? The Ca-Fi knock off running Torque would give you all the gauges you could want.

Heres what I did on my Civic. Unfortunately this would not be possible with this car, at least not yet to my knowledge, until more open ecu tuning solutions become available. (or a good standalone)

I've got a touch screen with a VGA input (single din, although we'd have much better selection with our double din slot)

Then a netbook in my glove box running windows xp, that hooks up with a usb cable to my ecu. The ECU's software on my netbook (Hondata Smanager) allows me to tune on the fly, display any of my sensors values in a gauge display that i can customize, etc. I've even got an electronic boost controller that i can adjust psi and boost by gear on the fly, or just load a different file with preconfigured settings instantly.

This whole setup cost me 800 bucks (not counting the 100 i spent on the netbook)

I cant wait till a proper tuning solution is available for these cars.

I also had a pre-made A-pillar case. The problem I ran into was all the wiring to the 8 guages I installed Signal, power, ground, light. I would like one central location. Also I dont like the look of pillar gauges anymore.

I didnt know android had their own head units. A quick serch and this is what im looking for http://www.mazda3forums.com/showthread.php?t=412874 minus the carbon fiber

Now I'll have to find out if that will work with the Bluetooth connection already in the car. i.e. the mic.

Look at either the TUN21A which is the Ca-Fi knockoff for around $400 or the T7019A which fits more OEM and can also be had for around $400. Both support GPS, run Android 2.3, and can work with Torque via a Bluetooth OBD2 reader. Search for 2ForMe on here and you'll find a wealth of information.

I'm using dash command as well through my 4s and Pioneer head unit. I even downloaded a skin to look like LFA gauges.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372819233.722314.jpg

Does anyone know if there is a way to use an OBDII wireless adapter to communicate with the Subaru BRZ's Pioneer AVIC 930 head unit? The head unit would have to be able to load the Torque Pro softwre and I am not sure if this has been done or can be done?

You can always resort to a mobile solution that is cheaper than the head unit replacement but more suitable than a cell phone. You can use an iPad, some of the Galaxy tabs from Samsung and the Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013) http://gt86mounts.com/product-catego...-tablet-mount/ . Be aware before getting the OBDII adapter that IOS doesn't support the Bluetooth one. I use a Nexus 7 2013 in my car and then I take it with me. I've had the mount in my car for over 18 months without issues. I run both Dashcommand and Torque pro on it.
