This is why it makes sense for those over 6'0'' to take out the back seat and save a little weight. I am 5'9'' also and I will get rid of it when I get mines.

^How much room do you think you'll gain by removing the backseat? What about the extra noise introduced w/o the backseat?

I know the rear seats for the STi are incredibly light. They are just pieces of foam. Really no point to removing them. Plus I believe it is illegal for stock and ST classes.

Nt only that, but stock the rear seats fold flat when they are down. Removing the backseats will cause the load floor to slope forward. Granted, that will actually open up some room, but it's not necessarily desirable.

Exactly. I don't see a point of removing them only to be able to move your seat back a 1/4".
