Im wondering if they're going to bring back an XRS or some other higher performance trim level. The S was never more than a bodykit on the regular corolla anyways. Perhaps the corporate 2.5L 2AR motor that Toyota is rumored to be turbocharging will find its way into this?

Looks like it has a lift kit, rally ready corolla? Seriously that wheel gap is worse than the new sentra. I'd take a forte or mazda3 over this for sure.

anyone notice that the step up engine features toyota's new valvematic? valvematic is a continuously variable timing and lift system like bmw's valvetronic. toyota doesn't seem to use this tech on sports engines, i wonder if adding it to the FA20 would improve anything?

I like the front end of the new Corolla, the back end kills it though, still the same boring blah.

Euro spec waaaaay better. And that thing lowered doesnt look too bad at all. I think the japanese are still pissed we bombed them so they give us their shitty versions of their cars.

Dunno if it's just me but cars 10 years ago look way better than cars look now... feels like they are trying so hard that it just looks bad.

Not a fan but seeing it lowered does help it look more sportier. Very Spartan-ish
![]() ![]() The front is very aggressive looking (FT86 type headlights, BRZ mouthpiece, Prius fogs, FT86 MK) and after seeing the Avalon, I like the Lexus type approach.

I like the look of it, you can tell that they took the inspiration for the front end from the scion tC (if you squint your eyes a lil bit). The electronics are a bit upscale for an $18,000+ car, which is on par with the Dodge Dart. The Corolla nearly knocked me off my rocker of buying an FR-S, but I'm still holding on, only because a salesman told me I wouldn't be able to afford it.
