Not necessary at these levels.

Smile Larger "Custom" Intercooler?

Any word if the larger core will be available as a kit, or add on? I am sure I could have something fab'd up, but I wanted to see if we could keep things off the shelf.

Also does this core/piping work with the front (or jdm) crash beam? I quoted the core picture below.

^No crash beam in that picture. The intercooler and the elbows on top of it are right in the place that the crash beam normally sits iirc.

Hard to believe that Greddy would design a setup that compromises the factory beam--Hmmm...

Why? This wouldn't be the first one.

I meant why is it hard to believe, considering that they've done this several times before. It's pretty common in this world to have to hack up or remove a crash beam to install a FMIC.

For a track car yes, for a street car, it is extremely dumb to do this. Cars are a weapon that can kill us in an instant, not to mention that without bumper beam any frontal crash at 20+ mph will very likely total your car. If you like your car and yourself, don't do this to your street car.

Clearly, but that's a complete aside from what I'm talking about. Someone was having a hard time believing Greddy would design a system that doesn't work with a 100% stock crash beam. As if Greddy was some unicorn tuner company that designs race systems for the race track only (it's a tuner kit after all) that don't compromise street cars in any way.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in in regards to the intercooler and crash beam.

The kit will allow you to use the crash beam, but you gotta cut some parts of it.

I will post pics later but if you look closely at the pics in page 1, there are two types of intercoolers. The final production model will be the one with the couplers pointing up (smaller in size).

Just FYI, peeps looking at the graph.

The vertical axis.
Horsepower on the left, torque on the right.
They are not linear.
Hp and torque start at different values, and have different scales.

Nothing wrong with this just take note.

The Greddy/Trust Turbo Kit is a tuner kit.. it includes no fuel management or engine management.

Yes, there are 2 separate dyno graphs with 2 separate turbos. Same kit. The standard Greddy Kit includes the T518 turbocharger... Greddy makes a list of upgradable turbos for multiple applications.. in this case.. they supplied AutoCraft with the T620 turbocharger (the rest of the kit remains identical).

Best Regards,
BP

The frontal beam won't keep your car from being totaled on anything over 20mph anyway.

Car sounded weird accelerating. Like it was pulsating or was that just the audio on the camera not able to capture the sound properly?
