Yeah i was thinking about forking out a 5k for a Full blown or AVO turbo kit. But i don't know how reliable it will be in the medium to long term. Plus it will take away the responsiveness of a NA engine.

I think it would be a bad idea to plan big financial decisions like buying cars around your relationships. Since you have a kid, I think you might want to consider sedans, like the wrx or lancer evo. They're still very fun to drive but have a bit more functionality too. You might be able to trade one for your 86. The BMW 3 series is very comfortable, but coming from an 86, you will definitely feel like the driving experience is lacking. Or you could just get another job, make more money, and buy more cars.

But what would I know I'm just some guy on the internet

Job and money is not a issue. It's more what i want in a car. I love the fun factor of the 86. But i think its impractical for my needs. So one side is telling me to stick with it, because it puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it. But the other side is telling me its somewhat impractical and underpowered for my tastes.

Is there any car on the market that is as light as the 86, as fun to drive as the 86, has as much power as the Bmw 335i and Audi s4 (330hp) and has four doors and 5 seats?

Sell it! Sell it tomorrow. So this kind of thread will be ended immediately.
F toyota! They should market fully equipped GT86 in the US because there are more people here know how to appreciate this car.

What you are "used to" is irrelevant. We are highly adaptable creatures. High power in cars appeals to our most primitive instincts, but more reasonable output will appeal to our higher intelligence. A higher efficiency, but lower power and naturally aspirated engine almost invariably means less emissions, less greenhouse gases, less pollution and lower costs. That's good for us and good for society. As a clearly intelligent law student you just need to favor the smart side of your brain on this decision. As far as safety, cost and handling the FR-S is the right choice. The only real sacrifice is a matter of space and capacity.

I thought lawyers should at least type perfect grammar. It is an indication that they are competent especially during the argument. I'm not trying to be a grammar police. However, those kind of things always come out instantly. It is like in your blood. My English is bad, and I don't need it much to make my living. I'm happy as long as I could deliver my messages.

Please stop this kind of thread. We are not here to be your mom.

Fyi, you can keep your personal issues if you want to create a thread like this. Nobody cares how many times you have divorced. This is a car forum, not a dating forum or something like psychological consultation agencies.

Something should sound like this:

Should I eat or not? I will go with the majority of votes. When the poll decides that you should eat, then you should eat regardless you are not feeling hungry.

Or get something like this. I hope it helps you.

"Magic Conch! Should I keep the car?"

Sell it, you'll regret it.

We still live in the horsepower era but it wasn't as relevant as it was a year ago.

This thread got side tracked fast!

Anyway, You should be able to make your own assessment. This shouldn't be up to anyone in the forums since we don't know you.

@CSI:86 you said you had an integra and celica. those weren't fast cars. you also said that you did some performance modifications to the celica. why not just do the same to the 86?
